this is a picture of the old school house and the current hall

Founded in 1861, the pre-Confederation Village of BellRock was a gathering and trading place for First Nations and French & English-speaking people and, through the Deep Eau River system, a significant player in the early resource-based economy of Canada. At one time BellRock had at least half a dozen manufacturing and processing mills! Today a beautiful place; A Village of Gardens with a proud history and a strong Community-spirit. The school house was built in 1870 and continued to educate local children until 1948. At that time it was turned into a community centre. Now it has an active schedule with Euchre, live theatre, music evenings and community suppers.
